The interests that drive me in my career are People and Excellence.  I gain energy by working with people to solve problems and implement optimal solutions.  I view my role in the company as a “service provider” with many different “customers,” both internal and external.  When solving problems, I like to tinker, play devil’s advocate and ask out of the box questions, all in the pursuit of providing the most effective and efficient solutions.  Of course none of this can be done without teamwork and our teammates.  We have and continue to develop an extraordinary team.  My satisfaction is derived out of  inspiring and encouraging each teammate to push beyond their own perceived limitations.  I know that sounds cliché, but in a growth oriented company like Atlantic Union Bank it becomes imperative.   

I joined Atlantic Union Bank as an Executive Vice President CIO & Head of Bank Operations in February 2015. As an IT and Operational leader with 30 years of experience, I have held a number of senior executive positions with Capital One Financial, Upromise®, Advance America, and Intersections Inc.  My expertise consists of strategy and development planning, business and IT operations, application development, data warehousing, information security, risk management, and project portfolio management. 

I have a B.S. in Business Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the George Washington School of Business.
